Barista/Front of House Staff – Dundurn and Market Locations

We are currently looking for experienced baristas/front of house staff. We are a Living Wage Employer and dedicated to creating a positive and fulfilling work environment.

You must have a passion for good coffee, good food, and great customer service. Experience in busy retail or in fast-paced cafe setting as barista necessary. Applicants should be outgoing, community minded and have strong work ethics. Necessary availability 6am-7pm, Monday-Saturday with an expectation of 3-5 regularly scheduled shifts. 27-44 hours/per week.

As Front of House Staff you will follow drink recipes and adjust them as needed to accommodate seasonal ingredients and flavor profiles.  You will dance/sing to awesome music (when no customers are looking) and spend your days with the best group of people around.  You will be expected to bring new recipes/display concepts and contribute to building the menu seasonally to keep yourself and the customers engaged.  You will ensure all product leaving the bakery adheres to Cake and Loaf standards of freshness, deliciousness and appearance.  You will become obsessed with coffee and all its nuances.  You will be asked to take pictures for social media and encouraged to explore food photography.  You will work as part of a team to keep the bakery clean and running smoothly.  You will communicate constructively and politely with all other staff and managers to help contribute to a caring and cooperative environment.
